Video book trailers are a great way to promote a new or existing book. At Book Marketing Graphics, we produce video book trailers in a variety of formats for both fiction and nonfiction.
About Video Book Trailers
Video book trailers can come in a variety of formats, from a simple slideshow to a hand-drawn whiteboard explainer video to an animated story to a live action film. Although we have the capability of producing more complex videos, at Book Marketing Graphics, we focus on creating simpler, yet effective book trailers.
This speeds up the production process and saves you a lot of money. Some video producers charge hundreds of dollars per minute to make a book trailer. Our standard rate for a premium slideshow style video is $150 for the first minute and $75 for each additional minute, although it’s recommended to remain within a 60-second time frame, because shorter videos tend to attain more views.
How we create your video book trailer
First, we ask you some questions about your book. When you purchase a video book trailer package, you’ll be redirected to download a worksheet. For fiction, we’ll need to know the genre & premise, a bit about the main characters, the primary conflict, and where the book is set. Then, we select a series of royalty free stock photos* (unless you supply your own photography) that portray your scenes and characters as closely as possible to your descriptions.
Included in our standard slideshow video book trailer rate is at least two short stock video clips* and at least 10 relevant stock photos. Next, we write a script and create a storyboard. At that point, you can request edits. Next, we select some royalty-free background music that goes well with your story. You will have a choice of several music clips. Once you select your background audio, we will create a draft of the video, and you can once again request edits.
All the production process steps are outlined in detail in the worksheet you will download when you make your purchase.
*Video clips will come from the Unlimited Library at VideoBlocks.com and stock photos will come from BigStockPhoto.com. If you wish to have stock video clips or stock photos from a different source, you will be responsible for purchasing them in addition to the book trailer production fee. All audio clips are purchased from AudioJungle.net.
