A media kit, or press kit, is a pre-packaged set of promotional materials that can be easily distributed to the media and for other promotional purposes.
Our branded media kits are formatted with a color scheme to coordinate with your book cover, and we offer three package choices, to suit your needs and your budget:
- 5-page branded media kit
- 7-page branded media kit
- 10-page branded media kit
When you order a branded media kit from Book Marketing Graphics, you will receive one year of free updates* to your media kit. For example, if your book wins an award or if you receive a great review and wish to add those to your media kit, we will make the changes for you. Your media kit will be delivered in high-quality PDF format, so you can print it or easily publish it to your website.

“The goal of a press kit is the same as public relations – make it easy to tell the story.”
~ Jordan Lampe
Your author media kit is an easy way to tell audiences about you and your book. It helps editors, agents, bloggers, reporters, and others promote you and your writing. Basically, your media kit is a central place to provide information that will convince others you and/or your book are worth writing about.
At one time, media kits were primarily distributed via mail, but it is now common to have a branded digital media kit available for download on your website.
If you’re a speaker, then you are your primary product. Create a media kit about you and your speaking. For authors, create a media kit around each book for nonfiction and/or each series.
A media kit should be updated regularly (as you have new releases, new presentations, new awards, etc.), and should be easy to find on your website. Some authors have a banner ad made that links from a prominent place on their website to their media kit page.
Our branded media kits include the following page choices:
- Media Kit Table of Contents page
- Author Bio page
- About the Book page
- Testimonials page
- Target Audience/Book Benefits page
- Book Excerpt page
- Sample Interview Questions page
- Story Ideas for Reporters page
- Downloadable Photos page
- Contact page

*Updates must be about the original book title the media kit was created about, as a new title would require a complete revision of the media kit, not just an update. New titles will require their own media kit, if desired, however, if you have a new title release date, we can update your media kit to include the release date and title or your upcoming book.
